BILL 19-02, ABCO Main Menu and Employee Indebtedness Screen Modification

Summary

In accordance with Item 2 of Section B, Privacy Requirements of the Office of Management and Budget's (OMB), Memorandum of Safeguarding Against and Responding to the Breach of Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Administrative Billings and Collections (ABCO) will be modifying the Main Menu and Employee Indebtedness screens. This regulation stipulates that Agencies must review their use of Social Security numbers (SSN) in all programs and systems. Agencies must identify instances where that use is unnecessary and implement a means to eliminate the application and collection of SSNs.

Implementation

Modifications will be made to the following ABCO screens:

Agencies will have the option to input an employee's SSN in Administrative Billings and Collections Inquiry (ABCOINQ) to capture the employee Account Number.

Note: The Account Number can be used to submit a request via ServiceNow without PII violation.
