MANPAY 16-02, Invalid Use of Hexadecimal Characters

Summary
System modifications will be made to the Entry, Processing, Inquiry, and Correction System (EPIC) Web and the Special Payroll Processing System (SPPS) Web to prevent the use of invalid control characters (hexadecimal characters) in compliance with Standard Payment Request file requirements.

Implementations
EPIC Web will be modified to allow only valid hexadecimal characters within the Name, Check Mailing, and Account Number fields.
SPPS Web will be modified to allow only valid hexadecimal characters within the Name, Residence and/or Mailing Address, and Account Number fields.
Note: The valid hexadecimal characters are : ! # $ % & ‘ ( ) * + , - . / 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 : ; < = >? @ ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ [\ ] ^ _` { | } ~
