Summary

The process to issue corrections to the current year Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form W-2, Wage and Tax Statement, begins in February. This process continues throughout the year on an as-needed basis. Instructions are listed below for submitting a request for an IRS Form W-2c, Corrected Wage and Tax Statement.

Implementation

The corrected W-2 process starts with the submission of a request for the adjustment through Web-based Special Payroll Processing System (SPPS Web). The following information should be considered when requesting a W-2c:
