HRPAY 20-08, EmpowHR Address Change Alert Implementation

Summary

EmpowHR is being modified to display a message when a Human Resources (HR) office processes a change to an employee's residence address. The Web-based Entry, Processing, Inquiry, and Correction system (EPIC Web) has already been modified in accordance with this change.

The following popup message has been added to the application."Please notify the employee of their responsibility to contact the FEHB/BENEFEDS carriers of their new address. If employee has BENEFEDS (FEDVIP, FSAFEDS, FLTCIP), contact BENEFEDS directly."

Implementation

The following message will display in EmpowHR when an HR office enters a new address for an employee on the Address Data tab:"Please notify the employee of their responsibility to contact the FEHB/BENEFEDS carriers of their new address. If employee has BENEFEDS (FEDVIP, FSAFEDS, FLTCIP), contact BENEFEDS directly." This will notify users that an address change request will be in the National Finance Center's (NFC) system only.
